SpainTop Named 1st Grand Serandipian DMC Champion in 2023
A milestone for SpainTop within the Serandipians community
In 2023, SpainTop was named 1st Grand Serandipian DMC Champion, a recognition within the Serandipians community that marked an important milestone in our work as a Destination Management Company specialising in tailor-made travel across Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
For us, the distinction meant more than adding another award to the shelf. It recognised an approach to travel built around personal service, local knowledge and the careful design of experiences for travellers and travel professionals looking for something genuinely individual.
What is Serandipians?
Serandipians is an international luxury travel network bringing together travel designers, destination management companies, hotels and other specialist partners.
SpainTop works within this network as an on-the-ground DMC for Spain, Portugal and Morocco, supporting travel advisors and their clients with local expertise, private services and tailor-made journey planning.
Being part of such a network also means working within a community where relationships between advisors, local specialists and hospitality partners play an essential role in creating complex, highly personalised trips.
The 1st Grand Serandipian DMC Champion recognition
At the beginning of 2023, SpainTop received the title 1st Grand Serandipian DMC Champion, 2023.
The recognition reflected both the quality of the services provided and the travel philosophy and professional values promoted within the Serandipians community.
For a DMC, this kind of recognition is particularly meaningful because much of our work happens behind the scenes: coordinating guides and transport, selecting accommodation and experiences, solving logistical details and transforming a travel advisor's or client's ideas into a journey that works seamlessly on the ground.
From the award to The Essence of Luxury Travel
The recognition came ahead of The Essence of Luxury Travel 2023, the annual Serandipians gathering held in Marbella from 27 to 31 March.
SpainTop attended the event alongside travel advisors and partners from the international luxury travel community. Later that year, we shared our experience from Marbella and the conversations held there with professionals from around the world. SpainTop
Events such as The Essence are an important part of our B2B work: they give us the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, meet new travel professionals and present what Spain, Portugal and Morocco can offer to travellers looking for highly personalised experiences.
A recognition that still represents how we work
The 2023 award belongs to a particular moment in SpainTop's history, but the principles behind it remain central to the way we work today.
Our role is not to sell a fixed itinerary. It is to understand the traveller, work closely with advisors and partners, and use our knowledge of the destination to create something made specifically for them.
That combination of local expertise, human relationships and tailor-made design continues to define SpainTop's approach to luxury travel.
