Special visit to private workshops

You visit three local craftsmen in their workshops to learn how they create these objects of art that are used during this special time, and visit a church to see the statues that are taken out on the actual parades.

What you will learn visiting the workshops

The first visit is the sculptor workshop, where you will be able to see the whole process from the original sketch, through more detailed modelling to the final result, using a range of materials.

Then, you visit the workshop of the embroiderers, responsibles for the robes that the statues wear.

The Silversmith’s workshop, are the ones responsible for the fine metalwork that is in the floats that carry the statues.

Afterwards, you visit a church so you can compare the styles of the different periods.
